Dans is a Los Angeles-based Director/Producer and Photographer/Editor specializing in live events, scripted and non-scripted production, and storytelling across music, culture, and creative media. Their style offers a documentarian edge that's electric, gritty, cinematic, and dynamic.

They’ve photographed artists like Anderson .Paak, Sleigh Bells, Deftones, The Used, Le Butcherettes, The Drums, and Spoon, previously as Amoeba Music’s staff photographer and now independently for bands, venues, and publications. Their photo-documentary series VENICE, which spotlights the anti-establishment spirit and vibrant community of Venice amid L.A.’s ongoing neglect, was formerly represented by Art Share L.A. While in New York, Dans was working in fashion and entertainment, shooting for publications and New York Fashion Week.

As a director/producer, Dans has helmed 30+ titles across genres. Their film DAMNED IF YOU DO (2024), a dark comedy with a theatrical spin on the double standards women face, is currently on the festival circuit. Their feature debut INSOMNIA!, an ensemble comedy inspired by their time at Amoeba Music in Hollywood, is in packaging. It ranks in the top 6% on Coverfly, was a recipient for Stowe Story Labs, and a semifinalist for Women in Film’s Directors Fellowship. Their documentary work, including shows like Middle Ground, Seeking Secrets, and Time Capsule, have extensively explored inequities faced by LGBTQ+ and POC, women’s rights, gender constructs, and class disparities, with episodes reaching over 90M views on YouTube.

Dans holds a Master’s in Art Education and Visual Arts from NYU.
